Eight Days

Eight days before my firstborn will start Kindergarten.
Eight days before I will take him to school and leave him somewhere he has never been before.
Eight days before he will start a new journey of learning and experiencing all sorts of new things.

Eight days...... This momma does not know where the time has gone. Tomorrow night we go to meet his teacher and be overloaded with information. Wednesday he gets to meet his teacher and have a special snack. I have held back the tears but can feel them coming any day now. School supplies have been bought and a new big boy backpack too! He cannot wait to use them. I am excited and sad at the same time. A new chapter in his life begins!

Connor

I thought I would write a post about each of my boys to go back and look at a long time from now. So I will start with my firstborn, Connor, who was born January 4, 2006 and weighed 7lbs 10.5 ozs and was 21 inches long. He is such a sweet and caring little boy. He is five now and in 28 short days will start Kindergarten. Connor has added so much joy to our lives and I am so lucky that God chose me to be his Mama. He is a mama's boy but thinks his Dad is the best thing! They have such a special relationship and bond. I am so very lucky to have married such a wonderful man that is also a wonderful Daddy! Connor loves to read or be read to. I started reading to him when he was a baby and it has really influenced him. He loves Auburn football, playing outside, helping his Dad in the garden and playing the XBOX. He is a great big brother to Cooper (my second born).

If I had to list words to describe Connor they would be:

I could go on (I am his Mom!) Connor is very excited about going to school and learning new things. I will miss all of our time together but I do know that he will love school!
