Summertime!

We are so excited it is finally summer! The pool opened Monday and we went yesterday. The boys had so much fun and I know we will spend lots of time there (after T-Ball All Stars I hope it is everyday). I am loving that we don't have to be up and going anywhere every morning. It has been and continues to be a blessing that I stay home. I have already made so many memories that I would have missed had I still been working :)

The Easter bunny also brought a basketball goal, which the boys were excited about. We had a great day celebrating at church and home. We are usually with my grandmother but because of Ronnie's work schedule and commitments at church we stayed home this year. Thankfully my sister lives here and she came to eat lunch with us. I missed my parents and extended family bunches. We hunted eggs, napped and just enjoyed the day. I hope that you all enjoyed your day too!

2012

I am hoping to finally get serious about blogging and losing weight. Those are my two of my resolutions for 2012. You see, I need a way to document all the things my two very active boys do and I also need accountability to lose the weight I've put on since having those two boys! In an effort to help myself get into a blog routine, I have challenged myself to take a picture a day and post. And, in an effort to help myself lose weight, I have committed to Zumba at least twice a week, starting Ease into 5K, drinking lots of water and consciously watching everything that I eat. These will be two difficult things but I am determined to accomplish them. I am not at a point that I want to share my weight and goals with the blogging world but hopefully one day I will (just one of those insecurities to overcome). I will being sharing my two sweet boys and, on occasion, my wonderful hubby!

Summertime!

So, needless to say I have not been good about blogging like I previously said I would. I am giving it another try though! It is summer here in Alabama and it has been hot. We have had rain the past four afternoons which has been great for our garden. I have taken off the summer to spend time with my two boys, especially Connor who will start Kindergarten in August. It will be a huge adjustment for him and we decided that a break from Mom's Day Out/Preschool would be good for all of us. We are sleeping in, playing outside and spending lots of time at the pool. I will have to post pictures.

Trying to keep up....

It has now been about two months since my last post. Cooper will be 9 months on the 28th and Connor turned 4 on January 4th. We had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas and Birthday for Connor.

Here are some things going on around the Lanier house:

Cooper is eating like a horse and growing so fast. He is so fun right now and we love watching him explore everyday.

Connor is now 4. I cannot believe it! It seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital.

We were out of school for two weeks and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am working part-time but hope to become a full-time stay at home Mommy within the next year and a half! We are trying to pay off some debt. Another reason I am trying to blog more is to find blogs with coupon saving tips and things of that nature.

We have a surprise trip planned for Connor in February and cannot wait to tell him.

Cooper will be getting tubes in his ears on Jan 20th. He has had about 10 ear infections since he was 3 months old!

We are trying to stay warm like a lot of other people. It has been unusually cold the past couple of days.

Exciting News...

As most of you know we are expecting another baby. I am due May 4, 2009. We found out on Tuesday that Connor will be getting a baby brother. We are very excited. Connor understands that we are getting a baby but does not care that it is a boy. Here is our conversation:

Me: Connor you are going to have a little brother.

Connor: No Mom, we are just getting a baby.

Me: I know, but we are having a baby boy. Isn't that good.

Connor: Mom, I just want a baby.

He is too funny. We are also going to be moving Connor into a bigger room (he has way to much stuff). I am a little nervous about this because I do not want Connor to think that we are pushing him out of his room. We have decided that we are going to make a big deal out of him getting a new room so hopefully he will not have a hard time adjusting.
